Spanish paper Marca reports that Real Madrid coach Jose Mourinho is keen to bring in the forward.
The Spanish side will make a move for Van Persie even if Mourinho leaves at the end of the season.
Mourinho also tried to sign Van Persie while in charge at previous club Inter Milan.
Van Persie’s current contract at Arsenal is set to expire in the summer of 2013.
