Chelsea star left out of Spain squad

Torres is one of two world cup winners dropped by Spain boss Vincente Del Bosque. The other world cup winner is Barcelona forward Pedro Rodriguez.

Del Bosque said of Torres: “He is a lad we appreciate a great deal and it pains me to leave him out but I wanted to be fair.”

Torres has failed to impress since joining Chelsea from Liverpool for a British record fee of £50million just over a year ago.
