The 34-year-old’s current contract with Juventus is set to expire at the end of next season.
“Would I stay for life at Juventus by extending my contract? There are all the conditions but I don’t want to steal money,” Buffon told Corriere dello Sport.
“I’ll play until I stop feeling good. I still have the motivation and I am competitive at the highest level.
“Will I finish my career in America of China? Sometimes I think about it, but it all depends on what age I am and what level I am at.
“If I am still playing for the national team at 38 then I would hardly want to go abroad.”
Buffon’s agent Silvano Martina added to Tuttomercatoweb.com: “His contract expires in 2013, we’ve already spoken with Juventus and we’ll talk again at the end of the season.
“For now he is focused on the end of the season. The intentions of Gigi and of Juventus are clear.”
