The Sun reports that the Old Lady last night offered Drogba a two-year £80,000-a-week deal.
Chinese side Shanghai Shenhua remain favourites to land the 34-year-old, who is a free agent next month.
Shanghai Shenhua are prepared to offer Drogba a £10million-a-year deal and also a £10million signing bonus.
