The 26-year-old said: “I’ve trained for the last two days with the team and for a week with the physios.
“I’m fine and expect to be back in the squad.
“It’s not nice when you pick up a dead leg in training like that. The manager did not want to risk me against Everton.
“It was the usual Woodgate injury thing. It was just a dead leg but the reaction I got is part and parcel of football.”
