The Italian giants are looking to strengthen their attack this summer and has been linked with the likes of Van Persie and Napoli striker Edinson Cavani.
“It is utter nonsense to claim that there could be any kind of jealousy in the squad (if Van Persie becomes the highest-paid player),” Quagliarella said to Sky Sport Italia.
“If an excellent footballer like Van Persie joins the club, it’s only normal that he’s given a good contract. That really won’t affect the morale in a squad like ours.”
