The Mirror reports that Vilanova could make a move for either Arsenal’s Thomas Vermaelen, Chelsea’s David Luiz or Manchester City captain Vincent Kompany, if they fail to land Athletic Bilbao defender Javi Martinez.
Barcelona are looking to bring in one top-quality defender this summer and so far Martinez is their main target.
But so far Barcelona have failed to meet Bilbao’s demands for the defender.
