The 19-year-old has recently been strongly linked with a summer move to Scottish giants Celtic.
“Candido is very talented and will make a big impression in Europe soon,” Santos director Eduardo Rergis is quoted by the Daily Record.
“But we would prefer him to mature in Mexico before he takes the next big step.
“Celtic have said they are interested but we will see what happens with him.”
