He said: “Sir Alex was watching me along with United’s head scouts, and there were talks.
“But in the end I came to Tottenham. I have nothing to be sorry about. And maybe in the future if I play good games here they can watch me every Sunday or Saturday.
“I signed here for four years, but nobody knows what the future holds. I came here to develop myself, and when you play good football, if someone is watching they ask for you.
“But I think this move to Tottenham is good for my career.
“I just want to play and score goals and, when I finish here, be remembered for the good stuff I played.”
