City managed to beat Spanish giants Real Madrid in the race to sign the 31-year-old defender.
“Brazilian defender Maicon has joined Manchester City on a permanent contract,” read a statement released on the club’s official website.
“The right-back moves to the Blues from Inter Milan for an undisclosed fee.”
