Beckham could become the owner of the 20th team in the US league, an option he retained when he left America to join Paris St Germain. Beckham announced his retirement from the game this week.
“There have been discussions with his advises, his management, preliminary discussions,” Major League Soccer executive vice-president of communications, Dan Courtemanche, said.
