Cavani is widely tipped to leave Napoli this summer, with the Spanish club leading the race to sign him.
“This is a good opportunity to tell the world that, when my family speaks, that isn’t Edinson Cavani speaking,” Cavani told Marca.
“Real Madrid is one of the best clubs in the world, but there is no deal yet.
“When we’re kids, we dream about playing at a team like Madrid or Barca, but right now I’m at Napoli and I’m very proud to be there.”
