Guardiola insists Spain have bright future

Spain lost 3-0 to spark suggestions that they were reaching the end of their glorious cycle.

“Barca and the Spanish national team have led the way for many years. It is normal that Spain has lost, they had to at some point,” former Barcelona coach Guardiola told reporters.

“Age is always age, but La Seleccion have a splendid future. Spanish football works very well with young players and there is so much talent that I cannot be worried.

“Barca have achieved 100 points [in the last Primera Division campaign], that’s tremendous. The philosophy of Cruyff continues and they have wonderful players.”
