The 33-year-old suffered a ligament tear in his right foot during a training-ground collision.
A statement published on BVB’s official website read: “A scan performed by team doctor Markus Braun at Dortmund’s Knappschaft hospital on Monday revealed an osseous avulsion injury.
“Kehl is expected to be out of action for about six weeks.”
