Postecoglou wants Rogic to leave Celtic in a bid to secure regular first-team football.
Rogic has been strongly linked with a move to link up with former boss Graham Arnold at J-League club Vegalta Sendai.
Rogic worked under Arnold at Central Coast Mariners.
“I think that would be fantastic,” Postecoglou told Fox Football Podcast of a move for Rogic to Vegalta Sendai.
“Arnie knows him, we know Arnie is a fantastic coach… he’s got the best out of Tommy and the J-League is a strong competition. I don’t see why not.
“It’s a World Cup year. There wouldn’t be a player on the planet who is going to a World Cup who wouldn’t for the next six months think the best move for him would be to play regular football.”
