Blackburn v West Brom

Key Battle: Blackburn came close against Sunderland last week but fell just short, they will hope Junior Hoilett can run the West Brom defence and Ben Foster behind them ragged.

Player to Watch: Mario Formica has been impressive despite Blackburn’s poor form, and it will be interesting to see how he performs.

Talking Point: Blackburn need points and fast. Will West Brom read the script?

Everton v Norwich

Key Battle: Everton battled and played well at Arsenal but found a lack of cutting edge causing them problems again. They will hope Leon Osman shines brighter than Anthony Pilkington

Player to Watch: So much rests on the shoulders of Louis Saha to score goals for Everton and he will be vital

Talking Point: Norwich have been in good form of late and will hope that they can continue at Goodison Park.

Fulham v Bolton

Key Battle: Fulham will have come off the back of a European display and will hope that Bobby Zamora is still firing by the weekend against Gary Cahill.

Player to Watch: Ivan Klasnic has been in good goalscoring form for the league’s bottom club and he could spring a surprise at Craven Cottage if not watched.

Talking Point: How will Bolton react after going bottom of the table last weekend?

Newcastle v Swansea

Key Battle: Two of the Premier League’s best defences, but with Steven Taylor out it will fall to Fabricio Coloccini to keep out Danny Graham

Player to Watch: Leon Britton has been Swansea’s star man in many ways and his passing skill will be crucial for the Welsh side.

Talking Point: Newcastle have lost form whilst Swansea have gained it and this will be the battle of the best two goalkeepers in the league this season – Tim Krul v Michel Vorm

Key Battle: Steven Fletcher will look to continue his scoring form up against Ryan Shawcross’s physical threat.

Player to Watch: Ryan Shotton is now Stoke’s new Rory Delap – the man hopes fall to who can launch the ball into the box with his arms from throw ins.

Talking Point: Stoke have been dreadful after European competition so far this season – will they be any better against a limited Wolves?

Wigan v Chelsea

Key Battle: Gary Caldwell will have a tough time up against Didier Drogba and a side who have given Wigan a rough ride in the past.

Player to Watch: Daniel Sturridge has been one of Chelsea’s best players this season and his form will be good to watch again.

Key Battle: Man Utd have a good run of games and the form of Wayne Rooney will be crucial up against Anton Ferdinand in London.

Key Battle: Tottenham will be looking to Gareth Bale to show his best form against Ahmed Elmohammody at the weekend.

Player to Watch: Seb Larsson has carried Sunderland at times this season and has a good goalscoring record against Tottenham.

Talking Point: Will the ‘O’Neill’ effect give Spurs more anguish following the end of their unbeaten run last week?

Man City v Arsenal

Key Battle: Alex Song and Yaya Toure will go head to head in a battle of the league’s best defensive midfielders at the weekend. Who comes out on top could control the midfield between two teams who love to pass.

Player to Watch: Laurent Koscielny has been one of Arsenal’s best players this year and his ability to read City’s passing and intercept them will be key if Arsenal are to come away from Manchester with anything.

Talking Point: Man City are top and have been the best team so far this season but Arsenal are in excellent form and could take advantage after a poor week for the leaders.
