Moratti has claimed Mourinho’s move to Old Trafford to replace Louis van Gaal as manager has been agreed.
Former Chelsea boss Mourinho has also been linked with a return to Inter Milan.
Moratti reportedly met Mourinho on Saturday.
Moratti said: “Of course he’s always fantastic and we missed him as a person here. He’s happy now, he’s going to Manchester.”
