Sunderland boss Roy Keane said: “A lot depends on where we finish this season. If we’re in the Premiership then we hope to attract certain types of player.
“In the Championship it’ll make it more difficult to get the players we’re after.
“We’ll cross that bridge when we come to it. The players have got Sunderland back to getting that recognition.
“It’s better to be getting praise than being slagged off all the time like they were last season and the start of this campaign.
“The lads didn’t enjoy finishing with 15 points last season.
“They’ve got to enjoy it now they’re getting praised.
“But they can’t get carried away too much because football will kick you in the teeth.”
