Crystal Palace star Eberechi Eze is set to be sidelined for six weeks due to a hamstring injury, according the Daily Mail.
Eze’s absence will especially be felt given his outstanding performance this season, filling the void left by Wilfried Zaha’s departure and Michael Olise’s injury.
The nature of Eze’s injury remains unspecified, but the duration is confirmed by various sources, reports the Daily Mail.
Notably, Eze had a significant contribution in Palace’s recent 1-0 win against Manchester United, having been on the field until the final two minutes. Prior to the injury, he had played every minute of the new Premier League season.
England’s manager, Gareth Southgate, is also expected to be disappointed as Eze was in contention for the squad for upcoming matches against Australia and Italy.
