Aston Villa striker Ollie Watkins has signed a new five-year contract at the Premier League side.
The 27-year-old has developed into a key player for Villa since joining the club from Brentford in 2020.
The striker, who earned himself an England call-up earlier this week, scored 15 goals for Villa last season.
Watkins told Villa’s official website: “I’m really happy.
“I feel like this is the best place for me to play my football; I’ve still got a lot to achieve here.”
Watkins added: “I feel like I’ve had a really good connection with the fans since I’ve come here. From day one they’ve been really good with me; we’ve had highs and lows but that’s football.
“You can see the direction of the club, and I want to be a part of that.”
Watkins has been linked with the likes of Arsenal and Chelsea in recent months.
