“When you’ve a massive player like him in the squad, it gives everyone more confidence.
“We’ve missed him a lot this season. I think Michael instils confidence in other players because of the ability he has.
“Seeing him on the training field has given everyone a buzz. It makes things seem like they are looking up again for us.
“There has been lots said about him while he has been out.
“He is a Newcastle player and signed for Newcastle when I’m sure he could have gone to a lot of other places.
“I don’t think there is any doubt Michael is committed to Newcastle.”
