Real are currently on third place in the league, behind Barcelona and Sevilla.
The Brazil right back told Marca: “Before managing to cut Barca’s lead down to two points we were eighth and even then we were saying that we have a chance to win the league and many didn’t believe us.
“Now we are one victory from the top and when we go out to play we are not going to lose – we can go to Sevilla with a lot of confidence.
“They have a top side that is not going to forget how to play overnight, but they are in a phase that we have also been through. It is a great time for us that we have to exploit.”
He added: “I believe that I am at the best club in the world. Everybody wants to win here. I have to do the best to win for the team, not myself, and to do so with my ten team-mates. It can be that I play badly and (Sevilla’s highly-rated counterpart Daniel Alves) plays well but if we still win that will be perfect.”
