Rossi told Newcastle World TV: “The conditions ruined the game but we got our goals, and from a personal point of view, it was great to get on the scoresheet.
“It was a great performance from the team because it was a tough game.
“Because of the conditions, as a striker you had to bide your time and wait for the right opportunities.
“We had to counter attack on their defenders mistakes, and I think we did a good job.
“I want to keep playing well, and hopefully I will get another chance against Charlton.”
