Buffon has been linked with a summer move to both AC Milan and Inter Milan.
The 29-year-old told Italian newspaper La Stampa: “I always pursue happiness. This season I decided to stay with Juventus in Serie B because I knew I would have been happy to help the club in a difficult situation.
“I follow my heart and instinct but I have to be given the opportunity of being a part of an ambitious project. Most importantly, I want to be serene and free, this is why I don’t consider playing in the Champions League a requirement.
“I will soon meet the management and after a while, I will make my final decision. It will not be a fast decision and I want to assure the fans that nothing is official yet.”
