Liverpool’s January signing of Javier Mascherano have forced the Malian out of the first team at Anfield.
He said: “The manager chooses the team. He thinks the team he picks is the best team to win the game. I have to accept that.
“At the beginning of the season I played a lot. But then I play, not play, play, not play. So for me I’m not happy.
“When you are a young player you want to play every game.
“In every training session I work hard to prove to the manager that I have my place in his team. Am I patient? Sometimes yes, sometimes no.”
