The newspaper says Figo has asked Spurs boss Martin Jol to sign him on a shock free transfer from Inter Milan.
The agent of the 34-year-old Portuguese star have been in contact with Spurs officials about a possible move.
A friend of Figo said last night: “Luis has always had a soft spot for Spurs and would love to live in London. He has seen other stars go to the capital and settle with their families.”
