Bayern have beaten Real Madrid, Arsenal and Lyon in the race to sign the Marseille winger, despite the club’s failure to qualify for next season’s Champions League.
Bayern president Karl-Heinz Rummenigge said: “We are not far from a total agreement. The financial agreement has been reached with Marseille, not much is missing.”
