Curbishley said: “I’m looking in all areas, and it’s not very often that a club says that a player is available.
“Kieron wants to leave Newcastle and we have been linked with him. I have one eye on everything until that transfer window closes – so we’ll have to see.”
He added: “We are actively looking to strengthen the squad and we have to replace those who have left.”
