Keane landed West Brom central defender Paul McShane for £1.5m yesterday.
He said: “We’re hopeful of bringing in one or two more over the next week or so.
“It was disappointing not to get Leighton Baines but I can understand players having a question mark over Sunderland. That’s the reality as we’ve just got promoted.”
