Hutchings confirmed reports that the Latics have rejected a £4million plus a player for the 22-year-old full-back.
Hutchings said: “It would be bad business from our point of view if we took less than that, so that’s the figure we’d be looking at.”
The England Under-21 defender is keen to talk to Everton, the club he supports.
