Prandelli explained after the match: “When you start well you have to have the strength to keep a high rhythm, unfortunately we have committed some banal mistakes and in the second half we could not get back in the match.
“We have to give our compliments to Roma. They will be fighting for the Scudetto this year, today they showed great rhythm and very good football. However we could have conducted the match better after going in front. The equaliser galvanised Roma and changed the match.
“Today we prepared a different match compared to when Toni plays, we tried to play more on the wings, but Pazzini was not at his best and neither was Blasi. But I was surprised by the lack of reaction from my players, it was like the light was turned off.
“We have to analyse the reasons why, psychologically we have to work on it a lot, and we will do so from tomorrow, I’m sure I will get a good response from the lads.”
