Sherwood said: “Ledley’s injury is my biggest worry for Tottenham.
“They’ve got the players to hurt teams up front but it will come down to whether they can keep them out.
“Michael Dawson’s fantastic at the back and Paul Robinson’s solid in goal, but they still need Ledley to be fit.
“It’s a massive blow to be without him for the first few months of the season.”
