Madejski said: “It’s been a real roller-coaster and we are not doing terribly well at this moment in time.
“But hopefully we are going to get back to winning ways as soon as possible so we can start moving up the table again. We played the top teams on the spin, but that is how it goes.
“I’m sure Steve [Coppell] is looking around and working on new players as we speak. And it is not just Steve alone, it’s my director of football, Nicky Hammond, too, who spends all his working hours looking for players and talking to agents. It is an ongoing process, and I am sure there will be a few new faces around in January.”
