Johnson signed a contract extension that will keep him at the club until 2010.
He said: “The Premier League has got to be out aim. The potential at Bristol City is there.
“I think we will make it, but I don’t know when. The easy answer would be to say by 2010 but that just puts unwanted pressure on the club.”
