“I had convinced myself that it would be the right choice in order to make the quality jump in my career.
“Barcelona? It’s true Barca had tried for me also, but they made an absurd offer.
“They wanted to take me in order to send me away on-loan and then, in case it went well, they would bring me back. That was unacceptable.”
