He said: “We put in a great performance, we defended well in open play and we worked hard.
“We had a brilliant 15 minutes before half-time when we had lots of attempts on their goal but we didn’t have and the post saved Chelsea.
“I am very proud of the players and on another day we would have got something out of the game.”
