“I’ve been working desperately hard to find a way forward with directors but sadly that has not proved possible,” Keegan said via the League Manager’s Association.
“It is my opinion that a manager must have the right to manage, and that a club must not impose on any manager a player that he doesn’t want.
“I have been left with no choice other than to leave.”
