He said: “I spoke with the club managers to check the different positions of some players. And some managers spoke about the game against the Czechs.
“I do not speak about the games that I see, the club games.
“I’m the present England manager and I respect the club managers. I want them to respect me.
“I am president of the League Managers Association and they should show me respect. It is a two-way thing.
“I don’t comment on club teams. I’d prefer it if other managers didn’t comment on England’s performances.”
He added: “I think, sometimes the criticism is OK. Sometimes it’s not OK.
“It depends on the opinion everyone has about football. Redknapp? I never speak about other teams.”
