He told the London Evening Standard: “I can challenge for trophies now which I couldn’t do if I stayed at Fulham.
“I know it’s been a few years since Tottenham won a trophy, so it would be good to play a part in making history.
“If we win a cup it will help the club move on to the next level. Playing for Tottenham will improve my game too.”
