Quaresma joined Inter from Porto for £15m and Moratti signed him to appease new coach Jose Mourinho.
“I will confess that the Portuguese international’s arrival wasn’t down to my desire,” Moratti said.
“However, it was a decision that was made in order to avoid leaving holes in Mourinho’s tactical plans.
“But now we will have to sell somebody and that won’t be easy because of the high wages that our players earn.”
