Inter ace Vieira: We’re better than AC Milan

“I think I qualify as an ‘ex’ in this game, as although I didn’t play very much, I learned a great deal at Milan,” he told Studio Sport.

“I was training with people like Franco Baresi, Billy Costacurta, Paolo Maldini and George Weah.

“I decided to leave because in life there are choices you have to make and I opted for Arsenal, where I played for nine years. Besides, I got the feeling Milan wanted me to go.”

“We are stronger than Milan because we are on a winning streak and playing well at the moment,” he added on Sunday’s Milan derby.

“Jose Mourinho always asks his players to put the effort in. I remember him from his time at Chelsea, as two or three players had spoken to me about him and I expected precisely what I have seen now.

“Mourinho has come to Inter in order to win a great deal.”
