Shevchenko will be in the starting line-up in the derby clash against Mourinho and Inter on Sunday.
“I like the way Mourinho seems to deal with the squad as a whole,” Kaka told the Gazzetta dello Sport.
“All my friends who have worked with him, from Adriano to Belletti, were happy with him. Well, everyone except Sheva…”
He continued on the derby: “The derby remains different to any other match, even if it is difficult to explain why. At the start you don’t understand, it takes a little while to grasp the sense of expectation in the city.
“You need to win, otherwise it’s tough living here afterwards. Perhaps the derby can be a turning point for those who have doubts on Milan.
“So far we have won three on the trot in Serie A and the UEFA Cup, picking up important points. Beating Lazio and Inter is great, but one has to find the motivation to defeat Reggina on a rainy Wednesday evening and we did it.
“At the end of the day, it’s the points won or lost against the little clubs that makes the difference.”
