Adriano’s signing follows fellow Brazilian Ronaldo’s retirement last month after a short stint at the club. Adriano has said Ronaldo was crucial in getting him to agree to join the club.
Adriano won the Brazilian league with Flamengo in 2009 followed by a fruitless move to Italy in which he has played only 5 games for Roma.
