Newcastle star Barton flicked Agbonlahor’s face and racialy abused the Villa striker.
Agbonlahor said: “I wasn’t very happy at the time. But Barton’s had enough bad press so I decided to leave it.
“The club said they’d back me but I decided to let it drop. As far as I’m concerned it’s all forgotten. It was last week so we’ll just forget about it now.
“Maybe he will apologise — we’ll have to wait and see. As far as I’m concerned it is forgotten.
“But if there is an apology I will take it.”
