Gattuso headbutted Jordan following the final whistle in Spurs’ 1-0 victory at AC Milan.
Speaking to Radio Kiss Kiss Napoli, Gattuso’s agent Claudio Pasqualin said: “What’s evident to me is that my client was gravely provoked by Joe Jordan.
“After having continually heckled him, Jordan insulted him with a phrase of the lowest order, saying: ‘F**king Italian b**tard’.
“For someone like Rino, who has a strong sense of Italian identity, I believe that this is the most cowardly and undignified of abuse.”
