Spurs are keen to bring in a new goalkeeper this summer and have also been linked with Inter’s Julio Cesar and Lyon keeper Hugo Lloris.
“Maarten is indeed one of the three goalkeepers on Tottenham’s shortlist,” Stekelenburg’s agent Rob Jansen told Voetbal International.
“He plays for a big club right now and is happy [at Roma]. However, Tottenham are a big club as well, and it has always been a dream for Maarten to play in the Premier League.”
Stekelenburg’s current contract with Roma is set to expire in the summer of 2015.
