Napoli have been linked with a move for the Italian international in recent weeks, but Brighi’s agent insists his client is happy to stay at Roma.
“I have not had any contact with Napoli,” the agent, Vanni Puzzolo, told Radio Gol.
“I really know absolutely nothing. He wants to remain at Roma, as he is more than happy there.”
Brighi has been struggling with a knee problem recently.
He continued: “Matteo has had problems with his knee, and only now he is finding some form. This is the only reason behind why he has not played a lot. He will have to find the right rhythm to be able to play at his best.
“The changing of coach has influenced him minimally, as he has the utmost faith in [Claudio] Ranieri.”
