The 24-year-old has signed a contract that will keep him at Ajax until the summer of 2014.
Boerrigter returns to Ajax, who he played for from 2005 to 2007, for an undisclosed fee.
Ajax coach Frank de Boer said: “I am happy he is joining us. Derk has developed himself very well in recent years. His advantage is that he already knows the club. With him we will have more options on the wings. I have faith he will develop further for us.”
