The Blues are now unbeaten for the last 86 matches at Stamford Bridge. The last match they lost at home was back in February 2004.
Liverpool have just one league win at Stamford Bridge in the last 16 years.
Alonso insisted: “We won’t be going there with any fear. We respect them as a very good side but are confident in our own ability and believe we can win.
“We know they haven’t been beaten at home in the league for four years but records have to be broken eventually. We’re ready to get a good result.
“We have more strength in depth and confidence than before. And we are right to be confident after the results we have had this season.
“We expect a tough game but we go into every one expecting to win and Sunday will be no different. Hopefully, we can be the team to end their unbeaten home record.”
