Silva has been linked with Barcelona for some time and Alves is keen for his fellow countryman to join him in Catalonia.
“We need to empower the squad for all the competitions we have to play,” Alves told Radio Montecarlo.
“If he joined he would come to the best team in the world. I’ve described the club to him, what he would find here and the advantages of Barcelona.”
